We are seeking a skilled and versatile Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team and contribute to exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The Back Office Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting clinical operations by performing essential medical tasks, assisting with patient flow, and providing administrative support as needed. This position requires a proactive individual with strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy procedures, including drawing blood samples accurately and safely while ensuring patient comfort.
• Take and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Room patients efficiently, preparing them for examinations by gathering medical history and ensuring exam rooms are stocked and clean.
• Assist with front desk duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries during peak times or as needed.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to input patient data, update charts, and manage documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support physicians and nursing staff with procedures, injections, and other clinical tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient experiences.Qualifications and Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in phlebotomy, with the ability to draw blood from diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency in taking vital signs and basic clinical procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends if needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a family practice or primary care setting.
• Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish/English) to better serve our diverse patient base.
• Front desk experience in a medical office, including phone etiquette and appointment management.
