For immediate hire: UUCLB seeks Collaborative Pianist to join our inspiring, inclusive congregation and community.
Supervisor: Director of Music Ministries (DOMM) or Settled Minister FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Principal Duty:
The Collaborative Pianist collaborates with the Director of Music Ministries to provide musical resources for the congregation.
Required Skills:
-reading open score and/or play vocal parts in a choral arrangement
-ability to sight read
-comfort with different styles, settings and genres including jazz, gospel, folk, classical, pop/ contemporary
-ability to improvise is a huge plus
Members of UUCLB shall not be considered for this or other staff positions at UUCLB. This policy is best practice to avoid the conflicts of interest that can arise from dual relationships. Not employing members as staff promotes healthy and effective relationships between the staff, Minister and congregation.

Hours of Work:
This is a year-round position, with regular Wednesday evening musical rehearsals and Sunday morning hours (9-11:30 am.) Time off for Wednesday rehearsals and Sunday mornings to be arranged in advance with the DOMM.
Compensation: $200/ week (negotiable per call) including rehearsals, preparation and Sunday service. Within UUA Fair Compensation Guidelines for Collaborative Artists, Geographic Zone 5.
