The Computer Aided Design position works closely with members of the Manufacturing Support Department by creating and interrogating three-dimensional models of aircraft components and two-dimensional drawings of Model Based Parts. This position will also coordinate with process planning on material sizing requirements as needed. This is NOT a remote position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• 3D Modeling of parts in Solidworks
• 2D Drafting of Model Based Parts (Catia to Solidworks)
• Design Tooling for Manufacturing applications
• 3D Printing of models (FDM) for demonstration, display and fixturing
• Create process assist drawings for production, quoting, packaging and finish needs
• Communicates with customer where required
• Initiate technical inquiries with customers when required
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• Associates Degree or higher in Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, or related field at least 2 years.
• Knowledge of manufacturing materials
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Working knowledge of Solidworks is required
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of CATIA is preferred
• Prior manufacturing or shop floor experience preferred
