Job Title: Integration Engineer (Electric Powertrain Solutions)Location: Mossville, ILPositions Available: 2Position SummaryJoin the Electric Powertrain Solutions team within the Electrification Division. This team, based in Mossville, IL, consists of technical project leads and integration engineers focused on delivering electric powertrain solutions. As an Integration Engineer, you will support a technical lead in concept design, component packaging, and validation activities for electric powertrain projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating simulations, troubleshooting issues, developing calculation tools in spreadsheets, working with 3D models in CREO, and creating electrical schematics. You'll collaborate closely with product groups within CAT to translate requirements into technical specifications for in-house or supplier-developed components.Key Responsibilities Assist in concept design and component packaging for electric powertrain solutions. Coordinate simulations and perform light simulation work using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and PSpice. Conduct physical component packaging and cable routing in chassis systems. Plan and support validation activities, machine builds, and conversions. Resolve issues and troubleshoot system malfunctions. Analyze data and support lab work in the Tech Center. Collaborate with product groups to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop calculation tools in spreadsheets to aid design and integration. Work with 3D models in CREO for interrogation and schematic design of electrical systems. Create electrical schematics and ensure alignment with applicable electrical standards.Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 8+ years in electrical systems integration, preferably in electrification or powertrain solutions. Technical Skills: Proficient in schematic and CREO design for electrical systems. Strong knowledge of electrical standards, including ISO 6-2-04. Experience with high-voltage electrical systems or components (60V+). Background in stationary power generation systems is a plus. Tools and Software: Proficiency in CREO for 3D modeling and schematic design. Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and PSpice for simulation tasks. Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with cross-functional product teams.
