Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mail Clerk to support high-volume mail processing and document scanning. The role includes mail sorting, scanning, customer interaction, and campus-wide delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong time management, customer service skills, and the physical capability to walk and lift throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform high-volume mail sorting with accuracy and speed
• Operate high-volume scanning equipment for document imaging tasks
• Provide excellent customer service in responding to internal mail-related inquiries
• Maintain organization of mail delivery and tracking
• Stand for approximately 1 hour daily during sorting tasks
• Walk up to 1 mile per day around the campus to deliver mail and packages
• Lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
• Follow all safety and operational procedures while handling mail and deliveries
• Assist with other general mailroom duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Dependability and a strong work ethic
• Experience with high-volume mail sorting and scanning
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Physical stamina for walking and standing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Skills:

1. Previous experience in a mailroom, shipping, scanning, or clerical operations role
2. Familiarity with scanning equipment and digital file handling

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred
