Hinckley Yacht Services offers a network of 9 full-service yacht yards from Maine to Florida. Our talented team members work on any make or model yacht and are proud to deliver the highest level of service in the industry.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Foreman to join our team in Stamford, CT.   • Manages the scheduling of service work, coordinates with service managers
  • Monitors and leads timely improvement action to meet customer satisfaction and ensures on time delivery
  • Manages Quality Assurance program to ensure all work is done on time and budget
  • Manages multiple departments to efficiently complete approved work on boats
  • Conducts performance evaluations, and sets departmental goals and expectations
  • Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve workflow issues and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented
  • Maintains and updates yard communication tools
  • Counseling and discipline of employees when needed
  • Client interfacing when technical explanations are needed
  • Generation of estimates and scope of work
  • Review and prioritization of condition reports and scope changes
  • Hands on work across multiple departments
  • Electrical and mechanical diagnostics information
  • Small scale project management to meet deadlines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7-10 years direct supervision & management experience
  • B.S. in business or related trade school desirable
  • Marine experience, vessel engineer, or captain experience transferrable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
  • PC knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
